SIMPLETRACE002

SIMPLETRACE002 is very similar to SIMPLETRACE001 except that this simple trace version renders smoother lines which do not adhere as rigidly to the contours found in the source image.  The simple trace action removes any colour from the source image prior to generating a vector shape trace result, this action is not meant to be used on complex photos or highly detailed graphics (indeed much of the details will be rolled into a solid black shape as can be seen in the featured image above). The purpose behind the simple trace actions is to allow the designer to quickly extract a silhouette from a scanned or sketched source for use as a temporary place holder in a layout. The final vector shape layer is stored within a Smart Object container saved to the layer immediately above the selected source image in Photoshop.  The vector data can be exported as paths to Illustrator or modified internally with the Pen tool.  For additional tips on how to use Stipplr Actions please browse the tutorial section on this site.
