STIPPLE004
STIPPLE004 renders a packed stochastic stipple effect to the selected image layer in Photoshop. The pattern is a highly packed series of dots that repeats across the entire canvas area simulating the stipple technique which is very time consuming to complete manually. Similar to pointillism, the stipple technique is often seen in WJS hedcuts as well as throughout their online posts — the main difference between the two techniques is that pointillism is done in colour. Once applied the generated stipple pattern is auto traced and the resulting vector shape paths are stored within a newly created Smart Object layer which can be rotated, scaled or easily exported as paths to Illustrator.
